Wedding Flowers - Can You Use Silk Flowers For Your Bouquets and Decorations?

The big details of your wedding have been decided. You found the perfect gown and the ideal location and everything seems to be falling into place easily.   However, you're having trouble selecting the perfect wedding flowers for your big day. You have a budget to stay within and you don't want to spend a fortune for flowers that unfortunately won't last forever.

Consider purchasing silk wedding flowers instead of live flowers. The cost is substantially lower than real flowers and they have almost an identical look of real flowers. You can find a wide variety of silk wedding flowers at various arts and crafts stores, department stores and online through numerous retailers. They cost a fraction of the price of real flowers and they last forever!

When selecting silk flowers for your wedding, consider how they will photograph. From afar, most silk flowers can't even be distinguished between real flowers. Your flowers will appear more vibrant and fresh in every photo and no one will realize they are silk. You don't have to worry about them wilting throughout the event and they will remain flawless through the entire event or wedding day.

Preserving real flowers can be tricky, expensive and sometimes even disappointing. However, with silk wedding flowers you don't have to spend the time trying to preserve them to display in your home or on your desk at work. Simply put them in a beautiful vase and enjoy their beauty for years to come. They are extremely low maintenance and only need to be dusted with a dry cloth periodically to keep them looking their freshest.

You can also carry over the silk wedding flowers theme with your entire bridal party. Some people are allergic to certain flowers. However with silk flowers, you don't have to run the risk of your maid of honor sneezing when she is holding her bouquet of roses. If you want to want to create the illusion to your guests the wedding flowers are real, spray them with a flower-scented mist to give them a hint of scent.

If you're still trying to trying to figure out if Silk Flowers are for you to use on your wedding day you also might consider using half and half.  That's right, use half real and half silk.  This option will give you the scent and look of real flowers up close while cutting the cost of your overall decorating budget.

Remember wedding flowers don't have to cost a fortune and there are a wide variety of silk flowers available for any theme or wedding decor. Good luck finding the perfect match for you!
